Spectrum Drilling Tools International manufactures Slip Lifter, also known as Backsavers, which are power tools designed for pneumatically or hydraulically operated slip handling. These tools are used to lift slips, reducing personnel fatigue and minimizing the risk of injuries. Pneumatic Backsaver can be operated remotely from the driller’s cabin or standalone control panels.
They are particularly useful for extending the lifespan of slips and inserts by ensuring proper setting and raising of slips during drilling operations.
